About WSOT

The World Series of TeenPatti (WSOT), created by Taj Systems, Inc., is modeled after the World Series of Poker (WSOP). This tournament features the wildly popular three-card game similar to Poker and played by South Asians for generations. Many in the west know it as Three-card Poker, with one primary difference – players play against each other, not the House.

Following the enormous success of Poker, Taj Systems has established the bar every Three Card Poker and TeenPatti player strives to achieve, becoming the “world champion” of the increasingly popular card game. “Each sport or game must have a pinnacle point that all players want to achieve in order to be known as the best in the game. The WSOT is exactly that for three-card players worldwide,” said Carl Gessner, President of Taj Systems. “We believe this creates a valuable brand in the WSOT within the next few years.”

The company is essentially building a cross promotional marketing vehicle to ensure success for its online and land based businesses. Naturally, enthusiasts of the game who aim to play and win at the World Series of TeenPatti, will look to practice the game online, as so many Poker players have been doing for years.

The Event

The first World Series of TeenPatti (WSOT) has been scheduled for November of 2007 in the beautiful Grand Sierra Resort and Casino in Reno, Nevada. The tournament is expected to host over 1,000 players and a prize pool greater than $1,000,000, making it the largest live TeenPatti or Three Card Poker tournament in history.

Players will all begin with the same amount of chips on day one. The object will be to survive and capture all the other players’ chips. Players finishing in the top 10% of the field will be awarded a cash prize, with the first place finisher taking home $500,000 in cash – not bad for only a $1,250 Buy-in.

The Venue

The venue of the 1st World Series of TeenPatti is the beautiful Grand Sierra Resort and Casino, formerly known as the Reno Hilton. The hotel is currently undergoing a transformation making it one of the top resort destinations in America. The Grand Sierra will feature the WSOT tournament, a Bollywood dinner night, a fun family outing complete with adventure rides, fine dining, excursions, shopping and the largest spa west of the Mississippi.
